I know I shouldn't, BUT I LOVE Mary Harron! What bravery to simply tell the truth! Mary takes on all the difficult projects - 'nough said on that note. If you know how literary history works, and I believe Valerie Solanas did, you knew that her manifesto would become a feminist classic, even while she, herself, was lying unconscious somewhere. The sticky relationship with Andy Warhol mirrors similar relationships with the artist, who seemed to lift people to unbelievable heights, then drop them to unbelievable lows. Read the SCUM Manifesto with a grain of salt, or without. Read between the lines. Read it literally. Any way you read it, you will be transported into a mind on fire.
