Reviews

This book is an updated version of the previous Level 2A Kids' Songs, so it contains several of the songs from the first edition, but some of the repeat songs have some added notes. However, this book has some excellent new songs that sound great! Most of the songs for this level are watered down and sometimes do not sound much like the original ones, but the songs in this book are not like that at all. They really sound great! "Tomorrow" and "Chim Chim Cher-ee" are wonderful pieces even though they are short. The version of "Oompa-Loompa" is fantastic and a great length (3 pages). The songs have a variety of hand positions that move around some. All the songs are in the key of C, but some songs have accidentals thrown in. You will find quarter notes, half notes, dotted half notes, and eighth notes mixed in beautifully with staccato notes, slurs, accents, crescendos and diminuendos, among other dynamic marks that help someone at this level practice and develop their abilities. The book is full of songs that are fun to play and a joy to listen to for all!
